Turkish Teens for Peace Hub Spotlights “Pieces of Peace” Exhibition at iEARN Changemaker Event
Global youth action took center stage at the iEARN Changemaker Virtual Event, where teen ambassadors from the Turkish Teens for Peace Education Hub of the Global Co Lab Network presented their latest global initiative. Supported by Co Lab Founder Linda Staheli and their mentor Ekaterina Bozdogan, the student-led presentation highlighted the hub’s dedication to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically focusing on mental health, quality education, peace, and global partnerships.
During the event, hub ambassadors Derin, Defne, Ela, and Beren from Turkey shared their journey of turning systemic global challenges into platforms for youth empowerment. Fresh off a delegation to the UN High-Level Political Forum in New York City, the team announced the upcoming launch of “Pieces of Peace,” a unique Virtual Art Exhibition debuting on June 1 2026 to celebrate the International UN Peacekeepers. The digital gallery serves as a “stage without borders,” gathering paintings, photography, sculpture, and digital art from teenagers across the USA, Turkey, India, the Netherlands, Taiwan, and Spain to visualize creative solutions for a more peaceful world. This youth-led project explores the meaning of tranquility through art, reflection, and nature. By amplifying diverse perspectives, the exhibition supports UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 16, and 17, fostering resilience and global citizenship.
A Cross-Border Changemaker Exchange
The session closed with a powerful cross-border dialogue featuring iEARN Coordinator Ms. Nicole Weitzner and a special guest changemaker from Pakistan, Mr. Nusnai. Mr. Nusnai captivated the audience by introducing his grassroots initiatives aimed at promoting and implementing the SDGs within remote and indigenous communities in Pakistan.
This inspiring exchange underscored the very core of the Turkish Teens for Peace mission: real changemakers do not wait for circumstances to change—they take immediate, collaborative action across borders to drive global progress.
