MISSION

To create a global community of teen changemakers to take action towards reducing waste which includes eliminating single-use plastics on land and in our oceans, improving recycling programs, limiting microplastics in our oceans, and encouraging thoughtful consumption through teen-led initiatives.

What we do

Annual Plastic Pick-Up Competition:

Our Annual Plastic Pick-Up Competition has been going for over 4 years and encourages teens world wide to pick up plastic in their local communities to help combat the global issue of plastic pollution, one small step at a time. With this competition we aim to eliminate single-use plastics from contaminating our ecosystems and environment as we bring together a community of youth internationally. This year we had our biggest turnout with a huge number of participants from Nigeria, Indonesia, and Turkey!

Microplastics Webinar:

Our most recent project has been creating a microplastics webinar to educate the public on the consequences of microplastics and their effects on the environment, ecosystems, and our own human health. We presented our 30 minute webinar in two different forums to teach people how we can mitigate the effects of microplastics and create a brighter future.

Future Goals

Children’s Book:

We plan on writing a book for children on how small actions add up quickly, and how that can both negatively and positively impact our planet. We hope to collaborate with other hubs like the Arts Hub in illustrating this book.
