Join Us! On Saturday, October 3rd from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST we will host a virtual event to celebrate Teen Changemakers who have visions and actions for making the world a better place! Register here.
The Global Co Lab Network empowers tomorrow’s future by providing resources for teen changemakers interested in creating a sustainable future. Currently, many issues are circulating the world, and more pop up every day. With ten virtual hubs, the teen change agents connect and collaborate with students worldwide to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Specifically, our SDG Hubs focus on arts, climate, gender equality, hub para hispanohablantes, mental wellness, quality education, racial justice, fighting plastic consumption, zero hunger, and wildlife conservation.
Despite being a changemaker, teens are pushed to “stay in their lane,” making it difficult for these young leaders to grab a foothold of their initiatives. The Global Co Lab provides a futuristic and unique opportunity to nurture a creative space where ideas can turn into a reality to reform sustainable policy actions.
Moreover, The Global Co-Lab is proud to aid in the development of hub projects, including the racial justice hub; creating civic engagement through racial justice masks; the gender equality hub, creating a podcast to uncover inequalities around the world; the climate hub, working on a fast-fashion action guide in hopes of decreasing the overproduction and consumption of clothing; the zero hunger hub, working with the Arlington county to mentor students to garden and donate produce to those who need it, and many more.
The Global Co Lab fosters a virtual “do-tank” of young leaders to take charge of their world, but we cannot do this alone. We would love your support! On Saturday, October 3rd from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM we will host a virtual event to celebrate Teen Changemakers . After the celebration, we will host a virtual reception from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM using the Mozilla Hubs, a real-time communications platform for Virtual Reality that is available on Desktop, Laptop, and Mobile. Guests will be able to tour the celebration similar to an art gallery and meet with friends and fellow attendees remotely via an avatar to represent yourself.
With the growing amount of technology at our fingertips, we are confident that our students serve as role models and young leaders to their community on how to live a more sustainable life. We look forward to building a more sustainable future for generations to come and would love your help in this great effort.
