This past week, six Co Lab Teens Dream Climate Change, Arts, and Mental Health Leaders/Ambassadors headed to New York for the 2019 ECOSOC Youth Forum, the largest gathering of young leaders at the United Nations. Our teen leaders engaged with an international arena of change-makers committed to taking action to meet the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The forum consisted of roundtable discussions, plenary sessions, and networking opportunities for leaders to talk about their projects and learn how they can support each other across borders. The teens are confident that they can bring what they learned at the forum and push the mission of the Global Co Lab network forward. As was emphasized at the forum, this is the century for youth to be empowered, included, and equal.
